The Kato CR-250 is a compact Japanese hydraulic city crane built for job sites where larger machines cannot fit. Its 2.49-metre carrier width transits through residential streets that prohibit vehicles above 2.5 metres, and its asymmetric outrigger system sets up inside service lanes as narrow as 6.5 metres — making it the only crane in our fleet that operates in Al Dhannah’s tightest urban corridors without blocking traffic.

Best Uses for a 25-Ton Mobile Crane

  • Flatbed offloading (rebar, precast, block deliveries)
  • Standby generator placement (2–8 tonnes behind restricted-access buildings)
  • Light pole, signage, and utility column installation
  • Residential villa construction (water tanks, boundary walls, staircase sections)
  • Small-scale workshop equipment swaps

Renting vs. Buying a 25 Ton Crane

Looking at a 25 ton mobile crane for sale? For most contractors, owning one costs far more than the purchase price. Compare the full cost before you commit capital.

Buying a 25-Ton Crane

  • Capital tied up in a depreciating machine
  • Registration, insurance and annual third-party certification
  • A licensed operator on payroll, with visa and accommodation
  • Maintenance, tyres, spare parts and breakdown downtime
  • Yard space and idle days between projects

Renting From STM Cranes

  • Pay only for the shifts you use: AED 1,200–1,600 per 8-hour shift
  • Certified operator and insurance included
  • Certificates and maintenance handled by our team
  • Replacement crane if a fault is not fixed within four hours
  • Step up to a 50 or 75-ton crane when the job needs it

Example: a contractor who needs a 25-ton crane eight days a month spends AED 9,600 to 12,800 on rental, with no operator salary, certification or maintenance cost on top. Ownership only pays off when a crane works almost every day of the year, and the owner still carries the risk of downtime. Ask for a weekly or monthly 25-ton rate.

25 Ton Mobile Crane Price & Specifications: FAQs

What contractors ask most before they book our 25-ton city crane.

AED 1,200 to AED 1,600 per 8-hour shift, including a certified operator and insurance. The final rate depends on hire length, site location and rigging needs, and weekly or monthly hires are priced at reduced daily rates.

Our Kato CR-250 lifts 25 tons at minimum radius, with a 31.2 m four-section boom, a 2.5–28 m working radius and a 32.5 m maximum hook height. It is 2.49 m wide and weighs 28.5 tonnes, so it drives to site without a lowbed.

Both drive on public roads to reach the site. A truck crane is mounted on a standard lorry chassis, while our 25t city crane is a purpose-built carrier with front, rear, all-wheel and crab steering, so it sets up in service lanes as narrow as 6.5 m.

The 25-ton rating applies at a 3 m radius. On full outriggers it lifts 6.0 t at 10 m with a 10 m boom and 1.9 t at 20 m with the full 31.2 m boom, so our engineers check every lift against the load chart before dispatch.

No. STM Cranes is a rental company, and for most contractors renting is the lower-cost option. See Renting vs. Buying a 25 Ton Crane above for the full comparison.
