The Liebherr LTM 1100-4.2 is where commercial lifting ends and heavy industrial work begins. Every crane below 100 tons in our fleet handles construction — this is the machine our engineers select when a project crosses into refinery shutdown components, high-rise structural steel erection, heavy transformer placements inside energised substations, or any lift where the combination of load weight and working radius pushes smaller cranes past 85% of their rated chart. Inside Al Ruwais Industrial Complex and across ADNOC downstream facilities, the LTM 1100-4.2 is our most frequently deployed heavy-class unit.

VarioBase — why this crane lifts more in restricted spaces

Most cranes calculate safe working load based on two fixed positions: outriggers fully extended or mid-extended. If one corner is restricted — blocked by a trench, a wall, or an adjacent structure — the operator must use the mid-extension chart for all four corners, sacrificing capacity everywhere because of one restriction.

The LTM 1100-4.2’s LICCON2 system with VarioBase eliminates this penalty. It calculates real-time lifting capacity based on the actual extension of each individual outrigger — not the worst corner. The result: higher safe working loads in restricted setups without compromising structural safety margins.

Fixed outrigger charts apply the mid-extension chart to all four corners when one corner is restricted; LICCON2 with VarioBase uses each outrigger at its actual extension for higher safe working loads in restricted setups

Best Uses for a 100-Ton Mobile Crane

  • Refinery plant shutdown component extraction and reinstallation at Al Ruwais Industrial Complex
  • Structural steel column erection above 3 storeys
  • Heavy industrial transformer placement at substations and power facilities
  • Pressure vessel and heat exchanger module positioning
  • Multi-storey rooftop HVAC where 50-ton units exceed 85% chart capacity

Note: Every 100-ton deployment includes a banksman and CAD-engineered lift plan as standard — not optional add-ons.

100 Ton Mobile Crane Price & Specifications: FAQs

Rates, specifications and selection advice for our Liebherr LTM 1100-4.2.

AED 3,500 to AED 5,000 per 8-hour shift, including a certified operator, a banksman, a CAD lift plan and a spreader beam. Weekly, monthly and shutdown packages are priced at reduced daily rates.

The Liebherr LTM 1100-4.2 lifts 100 tons at minimum radius, with a 60 m five-section boom, an optional 10.5–19 m lattice jib, 62 m hook height (78 m with jib), a 3–52 m working radius and 20 t of configurable counterweight.

Yes. A truck crane is built on a road lorry chassis. Our 100t all-terrain crane runs on a 4-axle, 8×8 all-wheel-drive carrier, so it travels on public roads with an escort vehicle and still reaches unfinished site access roads.

At a 12 m radius on full outriggers it lifts 21.5 t with a 14 m boom, and 2.6 t at 36 m with the full 60 m boom. Our engineers check every lift against the load chart and VarioBase outrigger set-up before dispatch.

When the lift combines heavy loads with long reach: refinery shutdown components, structural steel at height or transformer placements. As a rule, our engineers step up when a smaller crane such as the 75-ton would work above 85% of its rated chart.
